Just got back from our Hogmanay break in Scotland. We stayed at The Ceilidh Place in Ullapool, and it was fantastic. We heard from 2 bands Dagger Gordon and Cloud9. I can’t reccomend this place highly enough, Jean and Effie have created something marvelous with that place. Given that I have just been driving for 12 hours, I can’t be bothered to type much more, and so will sort out the photos and descriptions later.
What can I say, this thing is terrible. My thoughts go out to all people affected. As a man of faith too, it is sometimes hard to reconcile this sort of thing. I will see if I can help in some way, if I could I would go out and help.
Did my first dive today in the lovley Red Sea, saw lots of fish including a little Clown Fish, just like Nemo! The weather is not to bad too….
Have done a bit of driving over the past few days and have had the pleasure to see some lovley car crashes. I passed one today on the M62 near Huddersfield where the fire brigade were cutting someone out of the remains of a car. Over the past 2 days I have seen a total of 5 car accidents. It really puts me off driving, I do consider myself a safe driver, I try not to take risks, and I try to keep a cell of space around me. Though I can do as much as I can but that doesn’t protect me from other peoples bad driving and that scares me. But with my job at the moment I need to drive alot so I will stick with it and try and be safe.
On a brighter note I have been listening to BBC Radio4 over the past few weeks. There are some good programes on there, it makes a change from music.
Also RIP the legend that was John Peel, certainally I for one will miss his amazing late night shows.
Over the past few days there have been reports on the news that the Foreign and Commonwealth Office are saying that they expect more terrorist activity in Egypt, particuarly on the Siani Peninsula. Guess where I am off to for a week in November? The Siani Peninsula in Egypt. So if there are not many more entries in this blog, you know why!!! I wish everyone would just chill out and stop shooting the arses of each other.
On a work front half the killostreams into our data centre went down today as there was some sort of peoblem in the exchange thats near our Data Centre. Lots of phone calls today. The people who were involved really made things easier so Carl and Richard, if you are reading this, a big thanks and a pint for you! Lots of things to do at the moment, might get a contracter in…
Went to see ‘The Village’ last night, good film, the usual M. Night Shyamalan fare, spooky with a twist at the end. Though I must admit I had an idea about the twist 1/2 way through, I think this fella is aiming to be the new Hitchcock.
